1.1 Requirements

Note: The Online Manual for pc/MRP contains only one (1) disk or is downloadable from our website.

In order to use pc/MRP's Online Manual, either Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer must be installed at each computer. The Online Manual may work with other internet browsers, but they have not been tested for compatibility.

1.2 Downloading the Online Manual

1.3 Initial Installation onto the Server, (one time only)

To install the Online Manual for pc/MRP, place the floppy disk into your 3.5" disk drive or find the location that you saved the download.
If you are using Windows95 or Windows NT 4.0, select Start, Run, and enter A:\olmXXX or click on the olmXXX.exe
If you are using Windows 3.1 or 3.11 select Files, click on Run, and enter A:\olmXXX or click on the olmXXX.exe

The SETUP process will default to the C:\PCMRPW directory for installation. If your pc/MRP program resides at a different drive or directory, you must direct the installation to the correct location. The Online Manual WILL NOT function unless it is installed into the same directory as the pc/MRP program.

1.3 Linking pc/MRP's Online Manual to Your Browser

The first time you attempt to use your Online Manual at each computer, a dialog window will appear and prompt you for the location of your Internet browser.

The Scan option initiates an automatic function that scans through the hard drive and looks for the internet browser. If the internet browser is not found automatically, you can use the Locate button to move through the directory tree to manually find the browser.

The Test function is used to check the entered path name for validity.

To change to a different browser, select Configuration, Settings & Utilities from the Menu and choose Option 19.

1.4 Commonly Encountered Problems

• If the Online Manual is used to open a second instance of a Netscape browser, a Run Command Failed error will occur. Close the Netscape browser and try again.

• If the Online Manual does not appear hit Alt-Tab to select your browser. FoxPro often puts the browser behind pc/MRP.
